ACEREZ is a consortium, comprised of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy which has been appointed Preferred Network Operator by EnergyCo to design, deliver, operate and maintain the transmission line network for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ).

The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state’s newly legislated Net Zero targets.

Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking an HSE Audit Manager to support this critical project. This role will be responsible for conducting compliance audits against internal and Principal Contractor Management Plans to verify compliance with project and contractual requirements. The role combines desktop-based activities, including the review of documentation, records, and supporting evidence, with field-based audits involving the observation and verification of compliance on site.

This is a fixed term role for 3 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Principal Contractor Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Plans
  • Undertake Principal Contractor site observations and assurance inspections
  • Verify contractor compliance with contractual HSE requirements
  • Monitor contractor performance against agreed KPI's
  • Participate in contractor governance meetings
  • Prepare monthly internal and external HSE reports
  • Report trends and emerging risks

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in HSE management systems and assurance
  • Demonstrated experience implementing ISO-certified management systems
  • Experience within electricity, utilities, infrastructure or high-risk construction industries
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • Lead Auditor qualifications
  • Detailed understanding of safety and environmental, asset management and quality management standards, in accordance with ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO55001, and ISO9001.
